Before launching Boutique Builds, Christine McKanna-Farr spent more than two decades designing and delivering high-end commercial and hospitality projects.
This NEW collection from Boutque Builds draws upon that experience, applying the same principles of architectural quality, spatial planning and refined detailing to a new generation of boutique pavilions and rural retreats.
“It is not simply a well-designed structure with curated finishes or designer furnishings. Rather, it is an environment that evokes a genuine sense of wellbeing—shaped by light, Lansdscape, and the rhythms of nature. It is the quality of eastern light as it rises over a mountain silhouette, the movement of soft breezes through louvred openings, and the spatial generosity of elevated ceilings. Architecture, at its core, remains a deeply human discipline. Boutique Builds invites you to expereince great design without the costs associated with engaging multiple specialist consultants , we have done this for you.
Under the Australian National Construction Code (NCC), a Class 1 building is a residential structure designed for human habitation.
This classification includes detached dwellings, rural retreats,guest pavilions, and small-scale accommodation buildings intended for lifestyle use.
Our Boutique Build Packages are developed within this framework, enabling the designs to align with Australian residential construction standards relating to structure, safety, energy efficiency, ventilation, waterproofing, and bushfire responsiveness.
Working within the Class 1 classification provides a clear and recognised pathway toward council approval and construction within rural and regional landscapes.

Each design package provides a comprehensive set of construction drawings, interior visualisations, and detailed specifications—fully prepared for council submission as a Class 1 building. The intent is to remove traditional barriers to entry, offering a streamlined and affordable pathway to building a personal retreat—without the complexity of engaging multiple consultants. Our down loadable archi package supports rural residential living, guest accommodation or retreat-based occupation within a refined and architecturally resolved framework.
